Red Kites

These Red Kites were nesting in a wood in Lincolnshire, about thirty feet up in an oak tree.¬†They did in fact have four youngsters and all of them fledged. Red kites are increasing in numbers and are slowly spreading. This adult had been tagged as a youngster at the “release site” in Northamptonshire and seemed to sense that she was being photographed!
